Celebration of Technology and Innovation
Emory's Office of Technology Transfer hosted its Seventh Annual Celebration of Technology and Innovation on Thursday, March 7, 2013 at the Emory Conference Center. The master of ceremonies was OTT's own Todd Sherer and the program opened with comments from Emory Vice President David Wynes followed by Vice President David Stephens. This year's keynote speaker was Todd Sherer, CEO, Michael J. Fox Foundation. Sherer's talk centered around the vision of the Fox Foundation and how cures can get to the market quicker. He spoke about the necessity to build bridges between basic and clinical research and how independent research funders can participate. He closed by highlighting three areas of progress in the fight against Parkinson's that have roots at here at Emory.
