Clifford Michaels is an Assistant Director at Emory University’s Office of Technology Transfer, and a Registered Technology Transfer Professional (RTTP™). In 2015, he began managing the office’s internship program and is an alumnus of that same program. Prior to joining the licensing team, Cliff served in a variety of other roles with OTT which included marketing, communications, and assisting in the management of Emory’s intellectual property. Cliff is an active member of the Association of University Technology Managers (AUTM), volunteering with that organization’ s strategic communications and website committees as well as a member of the local biotech community, serving as a board member for Georgia BIO’s Emerging Leaders Network. Cliff received his Doctorate in Neuroscience from Emory University in 2007 with his doctoral research focusing on the impact of early-life stress on endogenous opioid systems and behavioral measures of reward. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience from Lafayette College in Easton, PA.
