Prokopac

Vazquez-Prokopec, Gonzalo; Kitron, Uriel

For field testing of infection in many tropical areas, resting mosquitoes are collected using an aspirating device. Until recently, the most commonly used aspirator was the CDC Backpack. Emory investigators designed a more advantageous collector, which has become an industry leading device. Emory has licensed and delivered Prokopacks to investigators on six continents to use for collection studies.
