Welcome
Emory’s Office of Technology Transfer (OTT) exists to manage the intellectual property rights of the University. Every year, we receive hundreds of innovations from Emory's world-renowned faculty, which we then shepherd from the lab bench into the hands of a commercial partner. In doing so, we help bring commercial success to the inventor, the university, and our industry partner – while also benefitting the world.
Emory OTT is a hub of activity for research, innovation, and feeding a world-class product pipeline. Our activities include:
- Scouting for new technologies
- Evaluating the commercial potential of new inventions
- Protecting intellectual property
- Marketing Emory technologies
- Negotiating licenses and licensing disputes
- Facilitating research, confidentiality, and material transfer agreements
- Supporting new and existing Emory start-ups
- Educating the Emory community about the benefits of technology transfer
We're a conduit for public and private partnerships; researchers and investors; and industry and academy. This is a space where bold ideas become reality. Technology transfer is the ultimate team sport – and when the game is played well, everyone wins. Join us!
